Over the last few uears, INOXCVA's product offering has been growing steadily. To illustrate just how diverse the company's manufacturing capabilities are, one need look no further than the cryogenic railcar it recentily created for Linde Norht America.Like every project INOXCVA takes on, the company sought to improve upon existing railcar options."Linde came to us with experience using cryogenic railcars as a mode of transport, and they had a good idea of what features they wanted to see. With our engineering and manufacturing expertise in tanks and trailers, we were able to work together to develop exactly what Linde was looking for."
"We had an aging fleet of argon railcars that required replacement,"says Smith,Fleet engineering at Linde. After reviewing replacement costs, payload improvements and thermal efficiency offered in new railcars, it was INOXCVA that stood out.Says Smith,"Along with the cost and performance advantages, INOXCVA offered design modifications to reduce loss of Argon during the entire trip cycle, from start of fill through transport and unloading. The modifications resulted in improved payload, improved operator acceptance and lower maintenance costs." The railcars were finished in DuPont Imron EZ Clearcoat with Teflon anti-graffiti technology, which extends re-paint cycles and lowers environmental impact. "These railcars will be around for another 40 years to come," says Smith.
